Progress

We aim to keep parents fully informed about their sons’ progress at school. We make an assessment every half term and hold regular consultation evenings.

We also teach students how to benefit from their own self-evaluation of their performance, so that they can take increasing responsibility for their own learning.

Consultation Evenings

We hold regular parent/teacher meetings to discuss progress and to identify targets for improvement. We very much prefer students to attend these meetings, since it is their education which is the focus of the interviews.

Appointments to see individual teachers are also arranged whenever the need arises during the year and form teachers will maintain contact with parents throughout the year.

Self-evaluation

Following every exam session, all students evaluate their performance, to help them learn from their successes and failures. In this way, they can focus on ways to make improvements where necessary and remind themselves what they did to achieve good results

Daily monitoring

Should a student be in academic or personal difficulty, a daily report is prepared by his teachers and sent home, to provide day-to-day monitoring.
